Millennium Development Goals Report 2013

imageThe United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) recently released its 2013 report on progress toward the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which rose from the Millennium Declaration of 189 nations who promised to free people from extreme poverty and many other types of deprivations.

The report details the significant progress made in meeting many of the targets, including halving the number of people living in extreme poverty; decreasing the proportion of people without sustainable access to improved sources of drinking water; gains in the fight against infectious diseases; and improvements in primary education.

The full report is available for free download in English, Spanish, and French.
